Blind Date # 4

Blind Date # 4

A Poem by unclecharlie

Well this was blind date 4,
Not sure if I can do any more,
We were to go out for a drink,
About playing pool I didn't think,
The first game went really well,
She was good I could tell,
To win she didn't have to try,
I could just barely sneak on by,
After the next two,
It seemed like everyone there we knew,
You'll never believe what next came,
It was the partners game,
She was angry when we lost,
As her partner I was tossed,
She then found a guy she said was able,
Everyone was around the table,
Then things started to stink,
She only approached me for a drink,
The rest of the time she didn't seem to care,
If I was even there,
Then through the others she pushed her way,
As they lost and she needed more money to play,
She told me the night was to be free,
I should pay because she was on a date with me,
So I gave her another buck,
Then out the door I'd quickly duck,
With all the guys by her side,
I was sure she'd get a ride,
I felt like a puppet in a show,
Is that how blind dates should go?
