In the Middle of the Mix

In the Middle of the Mix

A Poem by unclecharlie

In the Middle of the Mix

I have some qualities but no tricks,
Seem to always be in the middle of the mix,
This time she seems like looking could be done,
Yet her heart belongs to another one,
In the back I could take a seat,
But with that how can I compete,
Friends I only have a few,
But I wanted so much more with you,
Even though the truth was told,
And there was no idea what would unfold,
I still had a wonderful dream,
All about you it would seem,
That dream I can still see,
But reality could it ever be,
The goal is not to have a wife,
Just a partner in this life,
Someone that can trust that I'll be there,
Any time and any where,
You have all the characters of that one,
Beautiful smart and full of fun,
Now I think and finally realize,
There is a lot more to analyze,
Maybe now the things I fear,
Are in fact a bit more clear,
Friendship is easy to get,
But still alone I will sit!
