Still Hoping to Find

Eating Oreo's and posting on the Net,
How much more pathetic can my life get,
I need someone for which to care,
And to find adventures to share,
I have some hopes and maybe a dream,
But doing them alone is boring it would seem,
Plenty of looking I have done,
But can't find that special one,
At times I feel like they are within my grip,
Then I f**k up and away they slip,
I walk away with no pride,
To my gated community where I can hide,
Then to the computer where I can feed,
On the little social life I need,
Then in time a new search is begun,
But so not much good have I done,
Maybe I cling on way to tight,
Or I don't know how to Love someone just right,
Once I always ran the show,
But down that road I no longer go,
Maybe the choice I have depleted,
I want to be wanted but not needed,
Can't help but to remember what my Gramps said,
I am to take care of then he beat in my head,
Work is my time to go away,
But take them with you when you play,
It's about a best friend and so much more,
Now where do I look that I haven't been before,
To find this woman I still pray,
But I am alone still to this day!
