Just Can't Impress

Just Can't Impress

A Poem by unclecharlie

There's no one I can impress,
Just not enough success,
But there is no one else I can be,
Except the man that you see,
I am up front and in no way fake,
Maybe that's the first mistake I make,
Easily I'll be your friend,
But my morals I won't bend,
If I say that I care,
When you need me I'll be there,
On nothing will I sit and goat,
Nor my word will I sugar coat,
Is my heart on my sleeve,
Because in you I believe,
I am older and no longer fight,
But I will protect you and hold you tight,
I maybe alone and free,
Still life isn't just about me,
I have a brain and some wit,
Isn't much that will get,
Excuses I have heard them all,
No reason for me to call,
I'll leave it in the air,
Look at your phone the numbers there!

About
Here is just a little about me. I have lived a life of choices and disappointments. Never counting on anyone but myself. I have had lots of alone time and lots of hard knocks. What doesn't kill us wil.. more..
