No longer locked in some kind of dream,
Nor confused about what it should mean,
What had I done to get there,
Need I be careful about what I share,
Comfortable in my own skin,
Yet in a relationship I can't win,
Told I was to nice of a guy,
But to be mean I just didn't even try,
Then told that I work to much,
Not enough time for us to keep in touch,
Then there is the one famous line,
But this just isn't at all a good time,
One had tension she needed to relieve,
And with me the other just couldn't breathe,
To most of these I can relate,
None would it do any good to debate,
From some now and then I still hear,
The others just don't want to be near,
I am hoping one day to get it right,
And at the tunnels end to see some light,
Low and behold she's standing there,
The light shinning off of her hair,
She walks to me nice and slow,
Saying" I've been waiting for you didn't you know?"
That just won't happen so I am told,
Yet it's one dream that alone I can hold!
