Nice and Slow

Nice and Slow

A Poem by unclecharlie

I like a beer nice and cold,
And a woman that I can hold,
I like a night on the town,
Or to stay home and just dance around,
I like a place that's quiet and quaint,
And a place that's loud and may need some paint,
I Like a pininic out in the park,
And sitting on the porch in the dark,
I like listening to music I've never heard,
And watching as the people get stirred,
I like hearing a laugh that's loud,
And people that are happy and proud,
I like to have fun and look about,
And isn't that what life's about,
I like for different people to meet,
A warm welcome with which they greet,
I like things simple and easy on me,
And a better life I just can't see,
I am a country boy and as such,
we look for love friendship and trust,
I like gramps and words that come true,
30 years later when you don't know what to do,
For some this may not be the way to go,
But I like a life nice and slow,
Won't you slow down and take a look,
At all the things for granite we took!
