A Friend

We all need a friend that will take charge,
Making sure that we're safe when we're at large,
One that  greets you with a kiss and a hug,
Then walks away and gives you a tug,
Never really caring about what you do,
But just enjoying you being you,
Someone that can laughing and tell a joke,
And they don't mind that we smoke,
A Friend that keeps things simple and real,
Cares about what you think and how you feel,
At times no words need be spoken,
Honesty is a rule that will never  be broken,
One that you think of when your apart,
Even when things maybe just at the start,
Like a lost love you really never knew,
That is what it seems they bring to you,
One day we won't need to look any more,
We will find them in a place we never looked before!
