High Jacked Body

High Jacked Body

A Poem by unclecharlie

If you see me drunk in the pool hall,
Believe that’s not me at all,
Soon you will realize,
It’s someone using me as a disguise,
If you should meet me the next day,
All your doubt will go away,
No it’s not an act,
He high jacked by body that’s a fact,
He will tell you all you want to hear,
It will sound sweet and crystal clear,
He will lie and get into head,
Yet tomorrow not remember a single word said,
Not meaning to hurt no one,
To him it’s all about fun,
He has a serious side,
But with each shot it slowly died,
He will not try to take you home,
Misery loves to be alone,
A player he won’t try to be,
And that’s the only way he’s like me,
Yet he will treat you right,
And make sure it’s a fun night,
He had no reason to be afraid,
His foundation I’ve already laid,
So if this person you happen to see,
Please believe that it’s not me!
