Fishing with the right bait

Fishing with the right bait

A Poem by unclecharlie

I have no broken heart to mend,
Perfection I won't even pretend,
Loneliness is always there,
I am sure with many this I share
Money I don't have a lot,
But I own everything I've got,
The simple life is better it seems,
No living beyond my means,
I am honest and up front,
Some say I am just to blunt,
Yet about others I still care,
And for a friend I'll be there,
I am a one woman man,
Even if marriage isn't in the plan,
Friendship is a must,
That's how we build up trust,
My hearts not on my sleeve,
Love at first site I don't believe,
Surrendering to lust I won't,
We either click or we don't,
I like adventure and fun,
So many things I haven't done,
I take life easy and slow,
So many things I still don't know,
Am I fishing with the right bait,
I cast the line and I wait,
Not as easy as it used to be,
To find the woman that in my mind I see,
I use the line not a net,
There's only one I need to get!
