Addiction is an endless game,
Day after day it's all the same,
Walking around the same beat,
Looking for a connection on the same street,
Neglecting all the rest of life,
Your kids your husband and your wife,
It doesn't matter if it's day or night,
Your whole life is one endless flight,
Money that you never spend,
It all goes to the fake Friend,
Your the one people want to be around,
But only after the connection is found,
Never thinking about if you should eat,
Your only worry is walking that beat,
Your house is dirty and theres trash on the floor,
Even your family doesn't know you any more,
Your family and friends say it's a shame,
And they look for someone else to blame,
It's a disease some have said,
But could that all be just in your head,
You may get clean for a day or two,
You sit and look around not sure what to do,
A job you think what is that,
Could that be where the next fix is at,
It's easy to get to this point,
It could start from one drink or a joint,
How do we help people over come,
This s****y life that can't be fun?
Do we simply put them away?
Or should we show them we still care every day?
The answer to no one is clear,
Some avoid it just out of fear,
It's easy to walk away from what you don't understand,
But not so easy to reach out your hand,
So instead of thinking there's nothing you can do,
Think about what if that was you!
