Old Glory

Old Glory

A Poem by unclecharlie

Old Glory is tattered and faded,
Wearing jeans that are way out dated,
Protesting what has come and gone,
Plus the war that's going on,
The end doesn't seem near,
Nor is the meaning to us clear,
Kids that won't make it home,
Families simply left alone,
Lives that are torn apart,
Why did this war even start,
Was it weapons they may have had,
Or more because of dear old Dad,
The answer some may fear,
But many of us just want to hear,
That's why these jeans are way out dated,
And Old Glory is tattered and faded!
