The silent descend into cold and swift waters
Rapids of regret, should haves and oughtas
Voices lifeless, washed up on the river bed

Coming to your page for the first time, I clicked on this poem first becuz of the title. There are so many silent suicides going on all the time. People kill themselves slowly in so many different ways, right under other people's noses, but nobody notices, nobody pays attention, becuz it's all happening silently. It's silent becuz nobody pays attention to each other anymore. We don't want to see the signs & so we pretend it's not happening. You offer up an amazing number of well-stated harsh realities for such a short poem! God I love the honestly of this writing! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Candid, witty and gripping all at the same time. Who or what we could have became had no way of presenting itself due to what was unsaid. Nice work.
