Man Found

It's been 4 years and some change since I last put my thoughts to poem
If the art form were a man
its like the past few years I didn't know him
He used to visit frequently, almost daily way back when
When times were tough and life was rough and he my only friend
We lost touch over the years
as I mended from in to out
Today he showed up at my door
with much to talk about
Suddenly so much to say
I too, talked up a storm
My words turned into rhythm
once again they took to form
I've reunited with the man
with every muse I once embraced
Here to write once again
things silence never erased

This is very original! I love this comparison, so apt, so well-illustrated with examples. I never get writer's block, but tons of people do & they write about it all the time here. I love how your cut on this is so different from everyone else's. I love that you're not bemoaning it, just showing it.
