A Styrofoam Cup in the OceanA Poem by KeelyJane
She drifts through the universe
A styrofoam cup in the ocean Her claims are of superior things A descendant of fine china Nothing singes modesty Like pretentious, not quite tupperware She shines, but only through her glasses She's a styrofoam cup in the ocean Floating while gloating how she swims How long before the tides go? Surely some day she must happen upon the shore As the bottle she isn't and speechless No message in the styrofoam cup © 2013 KeelyJaneAuthor's Note
