Hold The Door

Hold The Door

A Poem by KeelyJane

Each moment we enter is like an open door

A place in time just like the one before

Ahead is another, and as we go through it

Along comes another right next to it

One after another, moment to moment, door to door

The making of past, the future right next door

Openings in time, continuing on and on

Moment monotony, here then gone, here then gone

In the blink of an eye we go in, out and through

Another moment of life not promised to you

Time will pass as quickly as it will come

Be grateful for each moment you get to come from

The magic of the moment passes with each door

Every second is a second to be thankful for

I am sorry, I just want to be honest with you, I love the thought of this piece, but I find it boring reading same exact words over and over again, it lost the creativity of this piece, some lines are weak;

Time will pass as quickly as it will come
Be grateful for each moment you get to come from----I think this lines needs for spin up

I am suggesting if you can re-write this beautiful piece. Just my thought :) I am always a fan of yours, just what I have said, I identify your works pattern, thats why it's new for me reading this kind of stuff far from your previous piece.

Amen! Life is a present, a gift. You only get the day once, make it count. Every morning we have a decision to make, to be a blessing to those around us or a curse.

Well framed analogy. Crisp prose.

and here lies the theory of time and space, all neatly woven into a nice little poem i agree, moments are doorways, hours are perhaps paths and every day a journey. nicely done!

I am sensing a pattern to your writing. The opening two lines are excellent and draw in the reader but after that it loses it's faith. I really believe you can write some rhyming poetry but your style fees as though it is more suited to free verse.

I like the way you used the words. "Hold the door." Gave great meaning to simple words. I agree with your thoughts in the poem. We must be thankful. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
