motherly yours

motherly yours

A Poem by Nassira
"

I felt so motherly this morning!

"

You look and smile at me, oh! my bundle of joy!

With your seven teeth lightening, appeasing my heart

Your eyes, round and bright my cuddly baby boy

The expression on your face, so innocently smart.

When I hold you in my arms, squashy “teddy bear”

Your fragrance emanating, my pleasure, my delight

Feeling your soft skin, silk can not compare

I don’t want to let go! Our bond heavenly tight.

And day after day, as you explore and grow

I am observing and watch, always acknowledging

My ramping “little worm”, style like GI Joe

Put a smile on my face, you are so amazing!

I am thinking what a gift! None could be that grand

A tiny human being, shining with capacities

Ready to contribute with knowledge to expand

Climbing to the height in full ability.

For all these little treasures and gifts

Grateful, always, I am to the Almighty

Impacting my life with gradual shifts

Giving it a sense of love and duty.

What a great, motherly joy you express, Nassira. How wonderful any son would feel to be loved and admired so. Thank you for sharing your joy. Sam
