Within the Shell

I’ve been aching for the loss of you,

Cramped within the shell of withdraw… taboo.

Frozen by the blizzard sweeping my mind away,

Slipping through time …pushed, tumbled astray.

Still, similar to a tree standing strong on its faithful roots,

Braving changing moods, still bearing fruits…

Blending through seasons, effects or reasons…

Giving shades to all with upmost affection.

I was holding your hand until it slipped away,

But I feel your presence approaching day after day.

Flickering like a candle in the middle of a storm

Showing signs of determination, by its movements and form.

By instinct, somehow, I already knew,

That your absence was temporary, and would break through.

Patiently learning and growing stronger and wiser,

Acting like a lamp, reinforced by a powerful diffuser.

How did i miss this sad writing! Time's passed but your memories must be deeply etched, these words are so intense, sincere. Methinks you've moved on but, who's to know how much of you is left behind.

'Frozen by the blizzard sweeping my mind away,
Slipping through time …pushed, tumbled astray.'

The reader can feel the grief of the poet quite vividly! I like your word choices and the rhythm you've chosen to move your poem along at just the right solemn speed.
