Capricious land

Capricious land

A Poem by Nassira Merahi
"

Going up and down the road of life...

"

Capricious land

I’ve been aching for the loss of you,

Cramped under the shade of withdraw… taboo.

Frozen by the blizzard sweeping my mind away,

Slipping through time …pushed, tumbled astray.

But a tree stands strong on its faithful roots,

Braving changing moods, still bearing fruits…

Blending through seasons, effects or reasons…

Giving shades to all with upmost affection.

I am standing on rocks of blatant illusion,

On superficial grounds stripped off emotion.

I am looking at blank walls devoid of color,

Built up like a tomb stroke by pallor.

But a bird majestic glides over horizon,

Gently observing beautiful creation,

Silent and calm but yet aware,

Flying over quietly…away from “fanfare”.

why fanfare though? that was the only part i did not get..everything else was perfect though..really liked the flow of words the idea behind it - or at least my interpretation of the idea behind the poem...
