The wonderful feeling of Ramadhan

As Ramadhan is approaching (1st of Sept), I wanted to share with you what the fast is about (it is going to be from dawn to dusk for 30 days)... it is much more than a fast ... it is a spiritual journey!

The wonderful feeling of Ramadhan

 

 

Each year, there it comes with its special effect.

Ramadhan is the break from spiritual neglect,

A reminder of the suffering …people less fortunate.

The ones who can’t afford a daily meal in their plate.

 

Ramadhan focuses on spirituality,

It tones down our animal instinct and its voracity.

Reviving our goodness… appealing to our heart

Guiding our attention … polishing our chart.

 

No means of nutriments from sun up to sun down,

It opens the doors … our hunger it disowns.

For more reflection… connection … absorption,

Of The Divine Order…well worth admiration.

 

Ramadhan is lightning … like a wake up call.

For self-discipline… journey of self-control.

Covering all areas… leaving “I WANT!” far behind,

Listening to our heart rather than our minds.

 

Oh! How I anticipate the goodness of Ramadhan!
