Vivid dream

I say “Hello”!

You say “Good bye”!

“I was dreaming when Dawn’s left hand was in the sky”!

All I could see was its shadow

Forming a dance that said “bye bye”.

Still half asleep I responded

Waving my hand … waving up high!

Trying to reach it … released a sigh

I tried so hard … from my bed I fell

My hand still waving … waving “bye bye”.

In shock I then open my eyes

On the ground I was still wondering

What pushed me there … was I sleeping?

Looked at my hand … it was waving…

Dawn gone ;  the sun therefore replaced.

On a sleepy morning, I'd like to keep my eyes closed, too; but dawn has other ideas for us. You've lifted my spirits with this beautiful look at how we both react. Lovely pen, Nassira. Sharon

Well, you just get right back off that floor, dear friend, because MY hand is waving REALLY high. And IT is waving HELLO!!! And it's trying to tell you that now that dawn is gone, the sun came out again, and isn't it a miracle how that happens???

Great big hugs.....
Jeri

Love the way you've set out this poem, the colour, the font. What a thought .. waving goodbye to the dawn. It's my favourite time of the day, so beautiful, so calm. You've conjured up a real picture with your words here. Thank you for sharing, Nassira.
