Chapter 4: The Fall
Regaining the will to move forward, Mark takes the front lead doing the same strategy.
“Here we go.” Mark grabs hold of the doorknob and turns it.
Slowly opening while keeping his distance and flashing light inside. Noticing it was just a small pathway leading to another door. When Mark stepped out of the dining room and entered the path, a sudden alert pops up saying, “Out of Safe Zone”.
“Are we not safe anymore?” Mark thinks it over, wondering if he made a loud noise that something would come after him now.
The others pass through getting the similar notification. However, the dining room door was not shut, and could still be entered.
“Good, if it goes to s**t then we can run back.” Jason being a bit relieved.
Upon reaching close to the other door, they hear grunt noises on the other side along with steps. Mark, Julie, and Robert place their ears close to the wall trying to hear more clearly.
“I hear a lot of them,” Julie whispered.
“I’m guessing these are the Blind Walkers, and for sure some of those noises are from the Stretchers or ghosts. We need to be extremely quiet for this.” Mark whispered to everyone.
Mark opens the door slowly, upon passing through he right away catches a glimpse of one of the Blind Walkers. A person with a bloodied blindfold that is stabbed up with spikes, wearing butler attire along with its arms pierced together with a spiked chain like it was tortured.
“Jesus f*****g Christ.” Mark’s heart begins to pound fast and hugs the wall next to the door not wanting to be near it.
The Blind Walker just passes by, unaware of Mark or the other’s presence, yet.
“Come on,” Mark whispered to the others.
Since they still had to deal with the other two, they kept doing the strategy although this time they needed another person with light because it was no longer a long hallway. They come to realize that it was a large living room. With chairs, sofas, and many other things in the middle. Preventing to use another light source they focused on hugging the walls and not bothering going to the middle.
“There’s so many of them.” Mark concluding 7 Blind Walkers in the living room from the sounds alone, not including the Stretchers or Ghosts.
After a long time of moving slowly among the walls, they finally reach a hallway that leads outside of the living room. Robert takes the lead while Greg has the backside.
“Come on, I can do this.” Robert trying to calm himself down.
Moving forward with no Blind Walker, Robert manages to see in the small brim of light a figure beyond the darkness standing in the middle. Reacting in that instant, Robert stopped there.
“Oh s**t.” Robert almost having a panic attack.
“Guys,” Greg whispered as desperately as possible.
One of the Blind Walkers approaches in a slow, but still a quick way. The others didn’t hear Greg, and only focused on what was in the front. Greg bumped onto Julie as he tried to keep more distance from the Blind Walker, tripping among each other in that moment the Blind Walker hears the noise and starts to act hostile. Robert turned along with his light for a short time, and upon returning back to his previous view, he sees a tall ghost woman on the face, seeing dark blood gush out of her mouth, eyes, ears, and nose. In that instant, Robert was taken away by the ghost up on a broken ceiling.
“Oh my god!” Ashley had barely seen Robert getting taken away.
Having forgotten about the Blind Walker, Ashley gets her head grabbed by the Blind Walker and gets it torn off in a very monstrous way. Mark immediately turned his light on while holding very tightly onto Rachel’s mouth who wanted to scream and freak out. The others had the presence of mind to do their best to not make a single noise in that horrid situation. However, Jason was one step behind, making the mistake of not being among light, and gets snatched away by strange tentacle-like limbs that pierced his body and took him away by the Stretcher. Mark tried shushing Rachel as quiet as possible, trying to prevent her from bursting out screaming.
“Come on! Please!” That was all that went through Mark’s mind, thinking it might be the end.
After all the crazy noise subsides, the Blind Walker grabs the leg of a decapitated Ashley and drags the body back to the living room. They wait until it goes far enough to be safe, but Mark still had hold of Rachel tightly.
“You ok?” Mark making sure Rachel is calmed down now.
Rachel just nods, having tears all over her face after finally accepting reality and no longer having doubts that it is a dream or some form of high production prank. As Mark let go, he slowly turns his light to the left side which was the opposite direction of the living room. Seeing if one of the ghosts is there, prepared to react upon seeing the slightest figure, but saw nothing.
“It’s clear,” Mark whispered out to Julie and Greg who hugged the other side of the wall.
Mark was the only one who kept a solid expression, while the others had complete terror on their faces.
“We have to keep moving.” Mark trying to get them to at least have the capability to move forward.
“Ok, I’m fine,” Julie said as she had her hand over her chest, taking deep breaths to calm herself as well as to prevent herself from throwing up.
Greg did the same, but Rachel just had the look of defeat. Mark tells Greg to turn his light off, while he and Julie take the front and back position now.
“This is f*****g insane.” Mark never expected to be in such a situation in his whole life.
Continuing on they reached a large set of stairs that lead to a safe zone.
