Chapter 4: The Other Four

 

 

 Among Walrira, resides a big city like building of the main HQ of the protectors. An angel named Saul, wearing exotic armor with a tag on his right side of the chest with the number three. Saul walks inside a room where a meeting is taking place among the five strongest of Walrira, and the one in charge of all protectors.

 

“You’re late, Saul.” A reptile being named Arvel who wears Egyptian like clothing with a tag of number four. Reptiles have mainly green skin, but some can change their color. The face of a lizard along with a long and strong tail.

 

“Sorry, I was caught up in some business.” Saul heads over and takes his seat.

 

“You seem to look happy about something.” An angel named Vil, who wears wizard like robes with a tag of number one, being the father of Saul.

 

“It’s probably because one of his kids has begun their first expedition as a seeker.” Vampire named Borx, looking like an actual vampire villain with a cape, but wears sun glasses that makes him look very unusual, wearing a tag with the number five.

 

 The other who is a werewolf who just awaits quietly named Kilro with the tag of number two. A werewolf has the similar look of a human, except they have wolf ears, tails, and the eyes of a wolf.

  

“Welcome, the five strongest of Walrira.” The old man who runs the entire protector organization named Larvien, the only demon that lives in Walrira.

 

“So why the sudden call to gather, did something happen?” Borx asks right away.

 

“Something did happen, and it is a big problem.” Larvien says with a serious look.

 

 Back on the expedition office, Rey and Sin have returned and write the report of their expedition.

 

“Ugh, will we seriously have to write so much every time we return from a planet?” Rey stretches after being done with the report.

 

“It isn’t that bad.” Sin says.

 

 Turning in their reports, they head outside and see a group of seekers surrounding some people.

 

“It’s them.” Rey says.

 

 The ones they see is two other people in which Rey grew up with. One named Julia who is a 24-year-old werewolf. Julia wears unique exotic baggy yoga like armor pants with a golden top, having gauntlets and greaves as weapons for her fight style of combat. The other named Jackson who is a 26-year-old reptile. Jackson is a fully armored warrior who takes hits and has a hammer as a weapon. Currently both Julia and Jackson are master seekers who rank the top ten among all masters, Julia being fourth and Jackson being sixth.

 

“They seem to have a lot of fans.” Sin says.

 

 Julia notices Rey and Sin among the crowd that surrounds them.

 

“Ah, excuse me.” Julia heads towards them.

 

“You’re back!” Julia being relieved that they came back safe.

 

 Giving them both a big hug, like she was a mother finally seeing her children after a long time.

 

“Ow, alright, enough with the hugging.” Rey being squished.

 

“So how was your first expedition?” Julia asks.

 

“It was good, but there is still a lot more to experience.” Rey not being impressed so far.

 

“We actually encountered a demon.” Sin casually says.

 

 The crowd suddenly interrupts their small reunion and they decide to head back home. Passing by the streets in a private carriage, the cities and such look similar to that of earth, but with a touch of a magical world into it. They reach their home which is the mansion they grew up in, the mansion of Saul. Going to the main big living room and sit on the large couch, they talk about their expedition.

 

“Thank god it was a demon you guys were easily able to handle.” Julia says.

 

“Are there stronger ones?” Rey asks.

 

“Yeah, there are demons, demon lords, and then there is the ruler of all demons named the Devil.” Julia explains.

 

“It’s actually the fourth Devil, meaning he is the fourth ruler of the demon race.” Jackson says.

 

“I see, what about the other beings?” Sin asks.

 

“We mostly have mostly encountered demons, and one dragon, but that’s about it.” Julia says.

 

“The other beings aren’t really active as much as the demons in the universe.” Jackson explains.

 

 They continue to talk when the last two whom Rey grew up with enter. Both being actual brother and sister, as well as the actual kids of Saul, meaning they are both angels. Evelyn being 22 years old, and Aron being 23. Evelyn wearing mage like robes while Aron wears armor similar to Saul. They are both diamond seeker ranks.

 

“Oh, welcome back.” Evelyn has a seat near Julia.

 

“Seems like you guys already gossiped on your first adventure.” Aron just stands.

 

 They talk about their first expedition again to Evelyn and Aron.

 

“Encountering a demon already? That’s very unlucky.” Aron says.

 

“For the demon.” Julia says.

 

“Haha, yeah.” Rey laughing at what Julia said.

 

 As they chat away for about 20 minutes, Saul returns from the meeting. All expedition offices have been forced to forbid any seekers to go alone or in a group of three due to certain events happening around the universe. Those events are because the demon and dragon races have been moving around to planets with the recent reports of seekers having encountered them. Until the activity between demons and dragons lowers, all seekers are to go in a group of four through six.

 

“Strange, why are they being active?” Jackson asks Saul.

 

“According to Larvien, this might be a possible alliance between demons and dragons.” Saul scratches his head. “I just hope that alliance isn’t meant to invade Walrira.” He says with a worried look.

 

“If that happens, will we stand a chance against them?” Aron asks.

 

“We have gone to complete war against the demon race two times and the dragons once long ago, out of those we ended up winning against them. So we might win, but we should really hope we don’t end up going to war.” Saul about to leave. “Be safe out there.” He says and leaves the living room.

 

 The others return to their rooms to get some rest, awaiting for the day they go to the next expedition, together.
