Chapter 3: Unexpected First Encounter

Teleporting in the middle of land, seeing a basic view of nature.

“Hmm, the land doesn’t look all that different.” Rey seeing nothing new of nature.

“You sure about that?” Sin looks at a giant tree with an actual face on it.

The tree attacks Sin and Rey with its huge branch.

“Whoa, that’s a strange looking tree.” Rey easily dodging out of the way.

Rey about to attack, but gets hit from behind by another branch.

“Seems like they’re all alive.” Rey notices more of them moving along strangely through the ground.

Rey summons a few souls to be decoys while they escape. They move past many trees that are alive and eventually reach clear land.

“Didn’t even have time to loo-“

The ground suddenly begins to twist and open like a mouth. Rey about to jump out, but gets caught by sudden plants that tie him down to the floor. Sin quickly dashes in and cuts the plants with her dagger, freeing Rey. Moving away, they see the land be devoured by the strange mouth like ground.

“Thanks.” Rey tells Sin.

“Best if we keep our guard up at all times.” Sin says.

“Right, but we should get on with finding some goodies on here. Can’t go back empty handed.” Rey looks around, noticing many other things being alive.

They explore the planet for three days. Using items known as Expedition Cards, they are extremely small and thin to just carry around in a pocket. Being sold on the expedition office, they are mainly equipment to stay on a planet for a longer time.

After those three days, they don’t find as many things worth to take back and continue on with exploring the planet.

“This planet is interesting, but for some reason it feels boring.” Rey wanting something more unusual to happen.

“There will be plenty of more entertaining planets.” Sin says.

Walking through a forest, something tries to attack Sin and Rey, but both of them being aware, they dodged. Looking at who it was, the one who attacked was a demon. All demons mainly looking like a usual human, but have distinct red eyes.

“Oh, for some brats of Walrira being able to dodge that is impressive.” The demon says.

“What the hell is a demon doing here?” Rey getting ready to fight.

The demon pounds the ground, causing a mini volcanic eruption. Rey summons a high armored soul to cover himself and Sin from the fire. The demon used that as a distraction, dashing from the side to land a fiery punch to Rey, Sin steps in to block it with her dagger, but upon blocking it, she gets thrown to a tree from the force of the punch. Rey’s summoned soul turns and tries to smash the demon, however, the demon tries to withstand getting crushed.

“Such power.” The demon says while he tries to push back.

Sin uses that opportunity to throw her dagger right on the demons heart and Rey crushes him with the big soul Rey has summoned. Suddenly fire explodes from where the demon was crushed, sending Rey back flying a bit.

“What the?” Sin having poisoned the dagger, but didn’t have effect on the demon.

“Sorry, but I burned it all before it did anything.” The demon tells Sin. “For a bunch of brats you guys are indeed quite something, it would be a problem if you two ended up growing up.” The demon shaking off the damage.

“You too, if most demons are strong like you, then I underestimated the demon race.” Rey gets up casually. “Let me handle this Sin.” He says.

Rey stands there, taunting the demon to come at him.

“Cocky brat.” The demon doesn’t charge in, but instead shoots a fiery fist at Rey.

Rey is unscathed from the attack.

“Nice fireworks.” Rey continues to taunt the demon.

Getting aggravated, the demon decides to charge in very fast, about to land a punch on Rey, but gets stopped before he even touched Rey.

“What is this?” The demon being confused as to what is happening.

“They are my two personal special invisible souls, good for you in making me use them.” Rey finishes the demon off with a soul sword, cutting his head off.

“I expected more from the so-called evil races.” Rey being disappointed.

“Idiot, this was obviously just some nobody from the demon race.” Sin explains.

“I see.” Rey now thinks about it and realizes the demon race is actually scary.

“Ah, dam.” Sin crouches, holding her mouth with her hand.

Vampires are known for sucking blood, which makes them not only stronger for a period of time, as well as regenerate wounds and gain more stamina. However, blood is mainly needed to balance ones condition. Only needing a small amount once a moth, if a vampire goes on without blood for more than a month, then they begin to lose sanity and go out of control. If they still don’t get blood then they eventually die.

“Better take your medication.” Rey tells Sin.

Sin reaching out for small capsules she carriers just in case, but they ended up breaking from the punch she took.

“God d****t.” Sin says.

“Here, take some of mine.” Rey stretches his arm out.

Vampires can’t drink blood from werewolf, reptile, and angels. The blood of those races being very different, it causes the vampires to go ill or die. In Walrira they grow certain animals in which their blood is safe for vampires. Rey being a safe species, however, human blood for vampires is very addicting due to its very natural flavor.

“Thanks.” Sin gladly accepting the offer.

Sin gives Rey a small cut on his arm with her dagger and drinks the few drips. Sin’s blue eyes shine bright of satisfaction.

“Alright, that’s enough, you’ll go crazy like last time.” Rey hides the cut from Sin.

“That was last time, I can handle it.” Sin calming her urges.

Six years ago, Sin was training with Rey when suddenly a small drip of blood flew inside the mouth of Sin, her instincts immediately took over. Fangs growing like a monster, eyes shining bright like a light, Sin had almost killed Rey that time.

“Is human blood really that good?” Rey asks Sin.

“Well, I don’t know why it’s that good either. Human blood just seems to stand out from the rest.” Sin explains.

“Ha, I wonder if I could make a fortune if I sell mine.” Rey thinks about it.

“You’ll just get yourself killed by vampires who end up losing their minds.” Sin says.

“Don’t worry, I was just joking.” Rey says. “Well, let’s head back, tired of being on this planet.” He sits down, awaiting for Sin to do the returning.

“Ok.” Sin says.

To return, each person has a mark on their left hand, one can use it to return their whole group or one can leave on their own. They mainly just place their palm on any land in place and wait two minutes until the telescope notices the signal and returns them back.
