Chapter 7: Sceyth Rank

 

 

 Xio and Alice taking a ship out onto space, leaving the planet of the battle they had fought. A couple of ships land to check what had happened only to find two of the Sceyth rank members defeated.

“Well this is surprising.” A young man with horns on his head named Tinr who is a Sceyth rank observes the bodies of Veria and Auhzer.

“Seems like they were defeated by some worthy opponents.” An old bearded man with a staff named Raqen seeing the different wounds on them. “Let’s go, we must report this to our king.” He tells Tinr.

 Not having any sort of respect for their comrades and only leaving their bodies to rot there.

 At that time, Alice and Xio are busy looking for another planet to land among the Sceyth galaxy.

“You don’t need to come along, actually scratch that, I don’t want you to come along with me.” Alice tells Xio.

“Come on, I thought we were starting to have some kind of connection.” Xio laying on a couch comfortably.

“Whatever, just don’t expect something in return for helping me.” Alice warns him.

“So what was that power you used?” Xio being curious about the bright armor.

“It is a certain angel power.” Alice says.

“Wait a second, so you’re an angel?” Xio asks being confused.

“I’m not an angel, sorry but I cannot explain it to you since it is the reason why I am looking for a demon.” Alice being serious about it.

“So I am left with a cliffhanger, what a pain.” Xio getting up and stretching. “So what are we dealing with?” He asks about the Sceyth galaxy’s army.

 Within the Sceyth galaxy there are only three ranks, the first being just the regular soldier. The second is a few who are a bit stronger than the regular ones. The third are known as Sceyth rank, being the best among the Sceyth army, there are only seven of them including the ones Xio and Alice had killed already which now leaves five. They received that information through the ship they had taken.

“Is the ruler among those other five?” Xio asks.

“I don’t know but I am guessing he is titled as something else.” Alice setting the ship on auto-pilot. “There is a shower here so I am going to take one, keep an eye out.” Alice tells Xio.

“Yeah sure.” Xio looking through the ship to find a magazine or something to keep himself busy.

 Xio not having much to do and just starts to do some push-ups and pull-ups for 20 minutes. In the middle of doing push-ups, Alice walks by with just strange looking sweatpants and with just a bra on top.

“This place has nothing good to wear.” Alice looking through the ship.

“They had lockers beneath the ship, try checking there.” Xio still doing push-ups, not being distracted at all.

 Alice notices that the ship detected a planet nearby.

“Oh, there is a planet close, can you land there?” Alice goes underneath to get a better change of clothes.

“Alright.” Xio stopping his small work out to land.

  Upon landing on a regular life planet, they don’t get the greeting of an army like last time.

“Seems like they aren’t here.” Xio checking if the ship detects other ships on the planet but so far it is only them.

“There are no soldiers around?” Alice being done changing,

“Not on this one.” Xio turns around noticing Alice changed onto the soldiers clothing. “I might mistake you as an enemy.” He says sarcastically.

“That is all they had.” Alice tosses Xio a radio in shape of a circle. “If something comes here then let me know through that.” She says and heads out to explore.

“S**t, I wanted to go out to.” Xio being bored again, looking at the radio realizing there is no buttons. “She didn’t even tell me how to use this crap.” He says.

 Waiting a couple of minutes, Xio sees that the ship detects another ship, however it is only one and it is just orbiting around the planet. Xio goes outside the ship and looks up, wondering if he can see it as well as try to contact Alice.

“This dam puzzle.” Xio getting frustrated on not knowing how to work the radio.

 As Xio tries to contact Alice, a sudden thunder comes crashing down, among that lightning Raqen appeared.

“Well, I was getting bored so why not.” Xio moves away from the ship and gets ready to fight.

“Were you the ones who killed Veria and Auhzer?” Raqen asks.

“If you are talking about the pedal woman and chain guy then yeah.” Xio replies.

“I see, then I will not hold back.” Raqen getting very serious.

 Raqen shoots a bolt of lightning from the tip of his staff at Xio.

“An all-natural hu.” Xio right away knowing.

 Dodging the lightning that is being shot at him, he finds an opening and charges in for an attack. As Xio got close for a punch, he suddenly gets electrified when he was about to land contact. Raqen points the staff towards Xio’s stomach and blasts him with a lot of lightning.

“S**t, I can’t move.” Xio being sent far and paralyzed on the floor.

“That was good movement you had there but someone at your level cannot defeat me.” Raqen claims and observes Xio carefully. “This has been bothering the moment I arrived, why is it that when I sense your power, it feels very strange.” He says.

“What are you talking about?” Xio not understanding what he just said.

“Never mind, since you lost easily I guess it is nothing important.” Raqen about to finish Xio off.

“Not done yet!” Xio managing to recover in time and charges in for another attack.

 As Xio got close, the shield of lightning appears again. This time Xio stopped and backed off quickly.

“S**t man, how am I going to get close?” Xio trying to think of a way to land a hit.

“Don’t bother.” Raqen makes a gesture with his staff.

 Upon doing the gesture a huge thunder wave comes crashing down right above Xio. Being extremely hurt, Xio doesn’t give up and still tries to get up. Letting out a strange aura that surprises Raqen.

“What the.” Raqen immediately knocks Xio out with a swing of his staff on the back of his head.

 Even though he was ordered to just kill him, Raqen decides to take him in alive.
