Chapter 5: Power and Maneuver

 

 

 Two days passing of traveling space and they finally reach a new galaxy. They stop by the nearest planet with life, as they land they get an unexpected welcome of soldiers.

“What the hell is up with all these soldiers?” Xio looking out, seeing almost an army of soldiers surround his ship.

 They start to shoot the ship with strong harpoons.

“Crap.” Alice immediately tries to fly away.

 Managing not to get pinned down, however the ship still took a lot of damage and crashes. Xio and Alice jumped out before it crashed.

“Of course, well didn’t expect it to last long anways.” Xio not grieving about his ship being destroyed.

“Soldiers are coming.” Alice warns Xio.

“Are you the type that doesn’t kill enemies?” Xio asks Alice.

“No.” Alice replies.

“Good.” Xio making sure she wouldn’t have ended up stopping him if he tried killing.

 Rushing out to the soldiers in a fast speed, Xio twisting every neck he sees.

“Mmmm, hopefully I find a better ship” Xio casually thinking while killing.

 As Xio continues to fight the soldiers, someone stronger suddenly appears behind Xio trying to stab him from behind. Xio dodges but then in the middle of dodging, another appears and was about to blast Xio with a bolt of fire, however Alice stepped in deflecting it with her sword. Both sides back away.

“So these are the more interesting ones?” Xio noticing they are different.

“Watch out, that one has teleport maneuver.” Alice warning Xio.

“What?” Xio not knowing that is a thing.

 The soldier with the sword teleports right in front of Xio trying to stab him again.

“Too slow.” Xio easily dodging it and counters by twisting his neck, killing him.

“Took you long enough.” Alice had already defeated her opponent before Xio in that instant.

“I could have killed him sooner.” Xio saying it like he is still better.

“Is that so? Well anyways, it seems we are in the clear.” Alice looking around for more soldiers.

“By the way, what did you mean by teleport maneuver?” Xio asks.

 Among the universe, there are different types of categories of powers and movement. The power category is split between all-natural and unnatural. All natural power is the basic powers of water, fire, ice, and lightning as well as the other elements. Unnatural are unique type of powers that don’t involve the elements. Following it up is the categories of movements which involves teleporter, runner, Flight, and manifest. Teleport maneuver allows the person to instantly appear in a place he sees or seen. Runners are the basic which is just plain raw dashing with the legs. Flight are mainly the ones who can freely fly in the sky or onto space. Manifest is mainly unique to the naturals, although depending on the unnatural abilities it can be available as well, which is the movement of manifesting into fire or even lightning and moving around, similar to that of both runner, flight, and teleporter. In a manifested state they are also invulnerable to damage. Each being can only have one of each, one power and one movement type, however there are some who manage to break that rule.

 “I see.” Xio understanding more.

 Xio’s powers are currently unknown, however his movement is a runner type. Alice’s powers are unknown as well, however she is also a runner.

“Let’s go.” Alice moving ahead.

“Where to?” Xio catching up.

“To find someone to ask where we are.” Alice explains.

 Now they explore the lands of an unknown desert like planet.
