Sand

Sand

A Poem by Bridgett

I am like sand.

Like sand in your clenched hand.

You squeeze tighter and tighter as I sift through your strained fingers.

Grasping for each piece of me,

you are trying to hold on.

Your hand is not steady.

You stand on uneven ground.

Hold on, clench tighter, or let go?

You don't know.

Neither do I.

I wish I could be the rock in your sure hand.

I like the metaphor that you're try to deliver. It makes sense.
