Silent Love

Silent Love

A Story by Bridgett
"

This is a scenario I thought of while sitting in a cafe.

"

I pull out the lonely metal chair from the over-sized table at the far side of this crowded café.  I place my worn out backpack under the chair and my food on the table as I sit.  I begin to eat when the couple at the opposite end of the table catches my eye.  The girl, dark brown hair, soft face, and lovely in every aspect, eats quietly, taking glances at the man seated across from her.  Light brown hair, well built, and charming he never takes his eyes off of the girl.  When she chances another glance, they stare into each others eyes and smile so warmly at one another.  The connection they seem to share is so strong, even I am affected.  Adrenaline races through me as I see their reaction to one another, and I find myself smiling along with them.  The man, never breaking his gaze, reaches his hand across the table and takes hers in his own, so tenderly.  The girl blushes, but doesn’t look away.  My heart races for her because whether she sees it now or not, his heart is hers.  This silent love speaks so loud.
