It's You

It's You

A Poem by Bridgett

I'm afraid to speak too soon
afraid that if I do,
it won't come true.
That you won't come true.
I want you with the rising of the sun and
with each new burst of wind on my skin.
I want your face to be what my eyes fall upon every morning
and your arms to be my safety.
Your fingers wrapped in mine,
I never want to let go.
I pray to meet you on the street
even if you don't notice me
for just seeing you,
makes my day complete.
My heart skips a beat at the sound of your name
and when I close my eyes on these lonely nights,
it's you I see,
only you.
The risk, well I'm willing to take it.
If it means the possibility of you,
I'll take my chances.

A poem about love. I love it. I love to read other writer's testimony about looking and finding love. This was great. I look forward to coming back to your house and reading more of your great work. Thanks for your review. When you get a chance I would like you to read my poem just posted "How Have You Become" and the previously posted "Not another Love Poem".
