TIme goes on without you

TIme goes on without you

A Poem by below-AVERAGE

We are all slaves
to the hands of time,
you can't escape deaths cold grasp.
Live it up while you're young,
this time on earth won't last.
You sold your soul to make a deal,
you let your greed consume you.
There was no thought of consequence
or the people you may hurt.
You finally see the error
of your selfish ways,
you feel the cold breath
of death
itself
but realize it's too late.
The damage has been done,
and the dead are rolling in their graves
at the w***e you have become.

It's crisp, no unnecessary words. Your use of the language is effective. I like it.
