Courage- that's it!

Another day passes by
When will I do it?
The girl I love the most walks by
And here I am waiting for a miracle.
A year has gone by
Don't I have this much of courage?

I slowly get up,
And call her loudly,
She looks surprised or are my eyes
Playing tricks?
She comes closer with a quizzical look on her face
My heart beats fast
Its a now-or-never case.

I gather my wits and say,
"I love you"

A sharp stinging sensation grips my cheek
Tears flow down my cheeks
Are my feelings really worth a slap?
I look up to see her eyes full of tears,
Her soft pink lips part to say,
"Couldn't you tell me earlier?
I love you too stupid"

My heart fills with happiness
The underdog had achieved success.

This is great!. Always like a good ending. I am glad this person had the courage to make the move and the funny thing is the other person was probably going through the same doubts. If you have the time reda my poem, "Hidden Hearts" it has a similar theme. Well done.

oohh lovely poem .... love is reaally beautiful in any form ..n is always undefinable... n u tried ur level best to describe the true love of a guy for girl ...really u need guts to propose someone whom u love in real sense ... cause somewher theres a slight fear in side the heart that may be ... if she leave me ... if she wont accept.... n it becomes quite difficult if u r shy by nature ....i liked ur poem dear ...keep on writing like this
