it's all good

it's all good

A Poem by uhknowbot-e
"

A pick me up when times get hard

"
Up real high and i'm looking down
Thinking of the splatter when i hit the ground
Should i keep looking or should i fall
I'm in the air and i could see it all
Floor getting closer as i prepare for impact
I hit rock bottom and i'm still intact
Not indestructible, just pretty tough
You have to be in this world so rough
Don't ever quit, just follow your heart
Work real hard, and live life smart
You'll make success, and find happiness too
And maybe a partner to share that with you
Keep your head up high, smile from ear to ear
Keep your cool and overcome your fear
Believe me friend you'll be just fine
It will all be okay, just a matter of time

Wow, what a brilliant poem-- truly. Really inspired by the evolution of this poem. The feeling of going from the depths of darkness to such lightness is hard to pull off and you do it so seamlessly. It flows so well. To be able to do that using just subtle nuances with words is really something incredible.

"Not indestructible, just pretty tough"--- love that line. There's a humility there, that makes this piece very human. You can relate to it.

"Believe me friend you'll be just fine"-- by the end of the poem, I really did feel like a friend was speaking to me. I felt like I'd seen someone go through the most raw sense of tragedy (up real high and i'm looking down, thinking of the splatter when i hit the ground') and come out of it with an understanding and compassion for humanity...really special to feel that. To witness someone go through that, and then tell you don't worry it'll all be fine-- such a sense of warmth and inspiration there!

Sorry for the long review, it's just I really thought your poem was incredible! Can't wait to read more :).
