a love noir

a love noir

A Poem by K.b.tucker

a love noir

You're going to lose

you know this

no one beats the odd's forever

as long as they get what they deserve

and they will

you know this.

She walks in the room and you forget

all the blood and death

that has been your life

she peels off your guilt

and leaves you wanting more

she kisses you with foregiveness

and its a taste of heaven

you will never see

you know this.

The gun is your best freind

a little iron god that protect's you through the valley

a valley full of rain soaked streets, dark alleyways

and too many black sedans

oh,yes the shadows have their own gods

full of wrath and venom

she is my redemption

they have to pay

and they will

you know this.

You dream of beaches,

of a life beyond this

with her

frozen drinks,

palm trees

you tell her you love her

forever

just one more kiss

one more embrace

one more trip to the valley

and you are free.

They are going to kill you

you know this.

The inevitability of karma... I love it. A stream of consciousness with a twist of action, love and redemption. Really well done! Favorite lines:

she kisses you with foregiveness
