A Poet's Fate

A Poet's Fate

A Poem by Galina Brown

The essence of beauty
Captured by one man alone
Turns writers to poets
Making nature their throne

They surpass the horizons
Such men see the unseen
They create the creation
And they turn man to king

And the world becomes weightless
As the dirt becomes clean
They find beauty in darkness
Making nature their queen

As they drop down their head
And get lost in her eyes
They let go of themselves
And invite her inside

And they lie there together
With their souls intertwined
Watching heavens turn charcoal
As the sun turns to wine

Her undeniable beauty
Allows vast waters flow
She has hair made of summer
And her dress made of snow

And as men, they grow jealous
They all fight for her hand
Though such love, truly endless
Men will die only men
