The Mountain Within

A poem that I wrote with my New book : The A.R.T of Motivation describing the struggle and challenge many of us face and must win in order to live true to self and our core design.

The wells of motivation run deep;
And though the mountains of surrounding achievements appear steep;
in the still waters of self-reflection and examination, we begin to see;
the reflection on the surface of a mountain;
Past are the clouds of disillusionment;
and all obstacles eerie images glide away from over the waters;
As in a mirror you see clearer, then clearer still;
drawing up the water with joy you discover...
Alas the reflection I saw on the surface;
Was simply an inverted image of my mountain;
that quietly beckoned my whole life within.
