Playground

Playground

A Poem by uber-bubble

We went to the playground when Dad yelled.
We went to the playground when the glass broke.
We went to the playground when Mum wept.
We went to the playground when we were hurt.

Our bruises were camouflage in the blue and purple maze.
Congealed blood a prop in army tag games.
Broken bones creating the need for a new way down the slide.
Swollen eyes peeking between plastic bars.

I went to the playground when my brother was sent away.
I went to the playground when he was sent back.
I went to the playground when he bled for our father.
I went to the playground the day of his funeral.

This was an interesting piece, very intense, sad, and expressive. It was done in a very creative, and original style. Very well done.
