Oasis

Oasis

A Poem by uTitta

I hear the wind blowing.
The heat, it's so intense.
I sit in the center.
The earth,
I feel it shifting,
moving,
beneath me.
The heat, it's not letting up.
Still.
So still, no movement but the wind.
The sand beneath me,
grinding beneath my fingers.
But what is this? A kiss?
It has been sent to me.
The wind also carries much more.
Smells, so many.
There is the sweet sent of blood,
Mixed with the smell of your perfume.
Danger!
It can be sensed all around!
I prepare for my return, and...
for the pain soon to feel.
That last kiss you sent through the winds,
I shall carry it in my travels with me,
forever.

Author's Note

This is a little poem I wrote about the book The Alchemist, but I morphed it near the end to fit a recent event in my life at the same time. Even still, it is more of a poetic vent.
