A Story by Melissa Hoover
"

Make it quick and learn to live without regrets.

"

Mom abandoned us. Dad used us. Foster care hadn’t an effect. I was only ten. I lied. I cheated. I stole. I ran. Nothing helped. At sixteen I slept in a juvenile detention cell. A mentor pulled me out and into a classroom. He stood at my side as I toured colleges. I studied performance piano because of his shared musical talents. A Ford Contour and an occasional couch sufficed as my bed during my bachelor degree. Tribulation. Perseverance. Companions over four years of study, now distant memories. I have grown.

..as time goes by and you begin to gather freinds, and a family of your own you will see how your past has made you more. More understanding, more empowered and better prepared for lifes surprises.Your heart break will give you a sweeter voice for life and love and a inner knowing that you can face life head-up and full-steam ahead
