For Liz

For Liz

A Poem by Douglas Lyle
"

Created: May 25th, 2006 Dedication: Liz B------

"

Kindly unearthed and
     Endlessly woven
Nestled unto embrace
     Neatly piled in accord
Empty arms full
     Dragging smiles across countries
Yesterday again

Emperors would war for
     Latent whispers
          Inside catacombed thoughts
Zeal,
     A lust for longed caress
Beauty is more than the key
Energy that cannot oversee
     The night places of
          Havoc’s weakest touch

Beauty is more than the key
     Really, is the only way
And this is more
Nothing less of a dreamer’s
Happy wishes
Almost,
     Mostly
