Diamonds Blooded

Diamonds Blooded

Walking on lakes
     Sapphire
     Cunning of language
Hear these criminals
of the mind sing an ode
     to our death-dreams
We could never stand up
     Yet, they were there
          Showing
          Laughing
          Discovering our secrets
You should keep your house
     in order
-No more food in the kitchen
-Less television in the mind
-Fewer children in the womb

Can we make a dance
     that will free us from
     our violent hands?

No dawn can oversee
     our miscalculations
     on the summit of
          our worst and greatest hour

Tricksters reign in love
for we follow candles
     and chrome blindly

Stop worshipping your computer,
     cell phone, and television
