Couplets

Filth
Pouring
Open your wounds
     Take it all in

Beneath an angry sun
A new beast climbs your back
You can’t do anything
     Let him claw

He’s coming for you
Like a dog to the bone
You have no legs
Ever since you kicked at the fire

Just one more
Open up
Take it all
     You know you like it

Your dark reasons
     Are obedient
And easily
     Thrown aside

You think that I like it
You think your pale chrome
     Hides and disfigures the truth
Thinking was never your
     Strong point

If I wasn’t so tired
I’d take him to your house
Open your gate
     And let him inside

But now I’m strapped down
     And sleeping
