Cobalt Dawn (Sans Nonag)

Cobalt Dawn (Sans Nonag)

A Poem by Douglas Lyle

Created: January 14th, 2005

"

We waited 7 days
     And 7 nights
          For trapped eyes
Under brown haired lust
Playful hair

We’re sorry for
     The only one that wears
          A frown
               Under cobalt’s dawn

Time to taste
     Grace

Always 2nd best
When they think high
     We think low

Always an ugly playful
     Leper
          In the eyes of
               Beauty

Angels always laugh
     At the deformed
A woman’s promise
