Terrible nights
     Dreams
Past loves
     Torment
Wishing for good

She had a look
Lust in the heart of hearts
A quiver of unforgiving
     Wishes
Not even god can quake
     Such a lost link
He dare not

Flights of fancy
     Cannot be given so freely
Even they need a rest

Then a sound of glass breaking
     It is all our hearts
She smiled
     We touched lips

Dreams are a terrible bed maid
