Bartender

Bartender

A Poem by Douglas Lyle
"

Created: September 29th, 2005 Dedication: The Ignorant Everywhere

"

Violent dispositions

Incoherent revolutions
Lost inhibitions

Quivering
     Knee deep
          In angelic waste
A marionette
     With burnt strings

A dirty phrase
     From the idol mouth
          —Towards the dark
               Beggar

Ill timed humor
     And ignorant wits
—You cannot extinguish
     These wings of fire
