Angels (In White)

Angels (In White)

A Poem by Douglas Lyle

"

Beards unmasked within the colony
     All shaved in folly
Greased on the mind’s face
     Clever smiles in tears
          All buttered up
In the desolations of the cream
     Hindered objections awry
All the pride tucked away
     In the knife blades

Children of the night!
     Lets run away!
Smooth
     In our escape and considerations
Blundered choices
     Together

What are we doing?
