Snowdomes

Snowdomes

A Poem by tynamite
"

Reflecting on the happy memories that once were

"

Walking through a hallway of snowdomes

Each filled with happy memories

Reminding me of the way things were

The times when a smile lit my face

Walking past gazing at snowdomes

I feel happy to have the memories

But the sight of times still haunt me

Trying to hold on in the wrong place

I've been looking to make a new one

For a very long time

Finding people to share my life with

So that snowdomes can pave the way

Walking slowly forwards past snowdomes

I know I cannot stay here

Moving forward I hope I'll find my way

Happy with people, where moths fly

Your poem made me think of pictures hung along a hallway - you know, like people do. Hang their life on a wall?..
I don't know how old you are, but this poem made me think you still live at home with these pictures on a wall, and you so much desire to build your own life,..with a conclusion of more pictures on a wall.
This is probably far from the crux of your poem, but that's how I seen it...
(I happen to think the snow dome feature fits wonderfully)

I never thought of the scenes in snow domes this way......A fascinating concept. Your write is so wistful and longing, even though you are looking to the future. Enjoyed this very much.

love this poem about snow domes, which we call snow cones in the States. Funny how this frozen treat always brings back happy memories. Last time I called my brother, he was taking the family out for snow cones.

Makes me want to go buy one. I enjoyed your poem. To me it was fringed with a touch of sadness but much hope. I love the last. "Moving forward I hope I'll find my way. Happy with people, where moths fly."
