The Game

The Game

A Poem by tygernymph0425

You think you are better

You think you know the rules

However honey I’m older

And I’ve been playing a lot longer

You talk a good game

But your action never follows through

You are taller in height alone

For you always fall short

You play your own little games

But you get so tangled up

You don’t know which game

Is for which person

You tell people your silly little lies

You give them your “pity me” sob story

You make people feel bad for you

Because that’s the only way you can get attention

You talk about people behind their back

Then get upset when it’s done to you

It’s time to grow up and learn how to deal

Because you are playing the game and you are losing

You want to call people fake and silly

However you are the most fake and silly

You change your style and the person you are

Just to suit whoever you are trying to get

You are well at fooling and manipulating

But your lying is horrible.

This is good for everybody around you

However it really sucks for you

One day you will learn what it’s like

To be played the way you play others

And I hope I’m the one to initiate it

Or at least be there to see you lose the game

This piece scorched my eyebrows. Unbelievable, anger/passion.
Every word a tiny dagger into the heart of each stanza. This is
a brilliant write and BTW you've capture the game dead on....
