My Love

My Love

A Poem by tygernymph0425

Quick am I to love.

Quick am I to fall.

My love for you

Is falsely true.

The heart is a trickster,

So feel with the mind I must.

But alas, the mind is logical

With no feelings it has.

Where does this leave me,

But back at square one.

Where the heart plays tricks

And the mind does not feel.

How do I know

If my love for you

Is falsely true

Or honestly felt?

The answer I seek

Lies within my mate

Where our hearts are one

As are our minds.

No tricks by trickster heart be played.

No logic by logical mind be sought.

For two is truly one and thus

Cannot be pitted against the other.
