Worth it

Worth it

Because I'm worth it, you're worth it, the world's worth giving it a try.

"

Worth it

A willow strong, ever so deep;

Cast a dead spell, makes me weep.

I run hard across the muddy plains,

Ne’er stopping for a catch of air, free from reality’s pains.

Yet have I any moment to stop running,

Quiet down, begin my thinking?

I take heed, albeit with a glower,

Close my eyes, though seeing far into yonder.

Never before have I questioned my value,

You say because I’ve been running, I say because I hadn’t needed to.

The wind-dancing wheat stretch forth,

Strength-giving; they embrace me as I drown,

Because what am I if not a King without a crown?

What am I if not a home without a family?

What am I if all I am is a broken feather floating wherever?

Am I truly different from any other?

Impossible to say, I truly shouldn’t bother.

So I pry free,

And continue where I left off -running forever and ever and ever.

I'm inconsistent, confusing, far too direct. I see from viewpoints far too many than I can count; I can't tell if it's a gift or a curse. I started writing when I was 13, most of my pieces here I wrot.. more..
