Battle For Dominion

Battle For Dominion

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

Battle For Dominion

left alone to find myself

and doing just miserably,

as we can't seem to even agree

on the most simplest of things...

much less the meaningful

It's not always a battle, but when it is your poem is perfectly appropriate. I think the first line should be the plural - 'to find ourselves' (the rest of the poem is plural after all - and the left alone could tolerate the plural as in leave US alone or each of us is left alone). And, eliminate 'most' in the 4th line (purely grammatical move). Then, I think you'd have a poignant poem on your hands. Good writing. :-)
