The Greedy Uprising

The Greedy Uprising

A Poem by James K. Blaylock

The Greedy Uprising

just like

all greedy children,

we merely want

that which we want.

with no care

for the feelings of others...

but will we ever

receive that which is needed?

This one I found utterly profound! Much wisdom stirs the mind.. and the answers should be simple yet seem the most unattainable at so many times! Luxury is the plight of all mankind.. and greed.. while it should be in moderation is at an all time high! I think sometimes it needs to be with such high rising costs.. and were we not all raised to reach for the gold? (still with upholding family and values but that seems to be lost) I loved the simplicity and complexity that stirs so much thought!

We strive in greed as part of a game..
leaving aside needs and who is to blame?
Every journey is never truly the same;
failing the needy and feeding the fame.

Just a little stanza that crept into my mind after reading this thought provoking write. Bravo

James, this is real, this is life my friend. It's sad how we desire materialistic things over loved ones and success. This poem is without a doubt meaningful and real in all aspects. Great job my friend.
